The project is a small cabin or pod that can fit into a small plot in a city or a rural landscape where it can easily bland in with nature because of its shape and site-specific material use. The pod has a simple look but its design is based on quality and comfort. The shape of the pod is designed to imitate the landscape and mountains in Icelandic nature and to blend in with the surroundings. The 2nd floor has a spacious sleeping area and a rooftop window for stargazing and/or aurora borealis watching. This can even be done from the bed in the wintertime. The roof shape and size is designed for easily catching rainwater and collect it into a tank for grey water use where needed.
